Account-Verified Residents
When we say account-verified it means that the user has submitted a credit card or PayPal account to Linden Labs, verifying their identity. Premium accounts will all have a status of Payment Info on file and/or Payment Info used. Basic accounts however, are subdivided into "verified" and "unverified". Linden Lab has limited the SL search engine so that only the profiles of account-verified users are indexed. They did this to limit the practice of creating unlimited basic unverified-accounts for the purpose of spamming the search engine. Because of this, you must be account-verified to qualify for most Profile Picks Incentive Programs. How Do I Determine if I am account-verified? Inworld, select Edit > Profile from the viewer menu. In your profile on the 2ndLife tab, see what it says under Account: on the right. It must either be "Payment Info Used" or "Payment Info on File" to qualify. "No Payment Info On File" means you are not account verified. How Do I Add Payment Info? Log in to the Second Life Website. Once logged into your dashboard, select Account and then Update Billing Info from the left menu. Submit your payment info as directed. Please Note: You do not need to have a Premium account in order to enter your payment information. Your account will not be billed, unless you choose to upgrade to a Premium membership, or purchase Lindens via the Lindex.
