Creating a Profile Pick

1) Teleport to the location you'd like to add to your picks.

2) Right-click your avatar and select Profile.. from the pie menu OR Select Edit -> Profile from the viewer menu.

3) Select the 4th tab in labelled "Picks"

4) Press the New... button.

A new pick will be added to your profile. It's image, title and description will be automatically populated with the information form the location you are visiting. If you'll Note the slurl information below the pick description, this is the link that ties your pick to the location in Search.

5) Press OK.

Other Important Points

It takes about 24 hours for Search to detect any updates you've made to your Profile. A lot of the Picks Incentive Programs are automated and use a script to check search and verify your pick. As a result, you may have to return after 24+ hours, from creating a new pick to recieve your Profile Pick incentive.

Residents have the option of hiding their profile from search. You'll need to ensure that your Profile->2ndLife (tab)->'Show In Search' checkbox is on (checked) in order to participate in most Profile Pick Incentive Programs. Like unverified-accounts, if that checkbox is turned off, your profile and picks will not be indexed in Search.
